Dark Spots & Even Skin Tone
Dark spots can develop due to sun exposure, hormonal changes, skin ageing or inflammation caused by blemishes and acne. These factors can trigger excess melanin production, resulting in visible discolouration and an uneven-looking complexion.
An effective dark-spot routine combines targeted brightening ingredients with gentle exfoliation and consistent sun protection. Tranexamic acid, niacinamide, vitamin C, arbutin and hexylresorcinol help improve the appearance of discolouration, while retinol and exfoliating acids support natural skin renewal.

Recommended routine
Morning:
- Cleanse the skin gently.
- Apply a brightening essence or toner.
- Use a serum containing vitamin C, niacinamide or tranexamic acid.
- Apply a suitable moisturiser.
- Finish with broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30, preferably SPF 50.
Evening:
- Cleanse the skin thoroughly.
- Use a gentle exfoliant several times a week.
- Apply a targeted dark-spot serum or retinol treatment.
- Finish with a restorative or brightening night cream.
Introduce acids and retinol gradually. Avoid combining several strong exfoliants with retinol in the same routine until the skin has developed sufficient tolerance.
