Ekseption Hyaluronic TRX Mixlab Serum is a hydrating, brightening serum for pigmentation, dark spots and uneven-looking skin tone. Its formula combines 1% tranexamic acid with 2% low-molecular-weight XS hyaluronic acid and a fruit acid blend.

Tranexamic acid is a cosmetic ingredient that helps reduce the appearance of localised pigmentation and discolouration. With regular use, the serum supports a brighter, more even and refreshed-looking complexion.

XS hyaluronic acid helps retain moisture and supports smooth, supple and comfortable-feeling skin. Its lightweight gel texture is free from oil, alcohol and silicones and does not leave a heavy or sticky residue.

The 75 ml size is Ekseption’s professional Mixlab format. It can be used alone or blended with other Mixlab serums by a skincare professional to create a personalised formula.

1% tranexamic acid

Tranexamic acid is used in cosmetic skincare to help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation, dark spots and uneven-looking skin tone.

It can be used to care for different forms of surface discolouration, including sun spots and marks left behind after blemishes. Cosmetic skincare may not completely remove deep or persistent pigmentation.

2% XS hyaluronic acid

Low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid helps retain moisture and supports lasting hydration. This helps the skin appear smoother, more supple and plumper.

Fruit acid blend

The formula contains a fruit acid blend that supports its low pH and skincare benefits. Sensitive skin or a damaged skin barrier may experience mild tingling during application.

How to use Hyaluronic TRX Serum

1. Cleanse with a gentle facial cleanser.

2. Apply a mild, non-exfoliating toner if desired.

3. Distribute one pump or a few drops over the face, neck and, if desired, the décolleté.

4. The serum can also be applied directly to visible dark spots.

5. Avoid the eyelids, lips and damaged skin.

6. Allow the serum to absorb fully.

7. Follow with a hydrating or brightening moisturiser.

8. Always finish the morning routine with broad-spectrum sunscreen.

Use in the morning and/or evening. For sensitive skin, begin once daily or every other day and gradually increase use.

Morning routine for dark spots

1. Gentle facial cleanser.

2. Hydrating toner.

3. Hyaluronic TRX Serum.

4. Eye care.

5. White-Up Sorbet or another suitable day cream.

6. All Day Shield SPF 50 or another broad-spectrum sunscreen.

Apply sunscreen generously and reapply during prolonged sun exposure. No pigmentation serum can work optimally without consistent UV protection.

Evening routine

1. Remove makeup and sunscreen.

2. Cleanse thoroughly.

3. Apply a non-exfoliating toner.

4. Use Hyaluronic TRX Serum.

5. Apply a hydrating serum if desired.

These products may form part of a pigmentation routine, but do not layer all of them in the same application. Alternate exfoliating products and retinol on different evenings.

Important information

Visible pigmentation usually improves gradually. Complete removal within a few days is not realistic. Consistent use and daily sunscreen are more important than applying numerous active ingredients.

Do not apply to damaged, severely irritated or inflamed skin. A mild, brief tingling sensation may occur. Discontinue use if persistent burning, pronounced redness, itching or swelling develops.

The formula is fragranced with Ceylon tea and citrus notes. Always check the current ingredient list on the packaging if you have allergies or known sensitivities.
