Activators for Overnight Skin Renewal

Ekseption Activators are micro-exfoliating night creams that support natural skin renewal. They help the complexion gradually appear smoother, fresher and more even. The products can be used as an intensive at-home treatment or to prepare the skin for a professional Ekseption peel.

The Activators combine organic acids with caring and targeted ingredients. Each version is developed for a different skin type or concern, including dehydration, pigmentation, fine lines, blemishes and enlarged pores.

What does an Ekseption Activator do?

An Activator can help:

Which Ekseption Activator suits your skin?

Ekseption PHA Activator

PHA Activator provides mild, gradual exfoliation and is particularly suitable for dry, dehydrated, sensitive or redness-prone skin. PHAs help remove dead skin cells while supporting hydration.

It is a good choice for anyone beginning an exfoliating skincare routine or whose skin reacts easily to stronger acids.

Ekseption Ferulic Activator

Ferulic Activator targets dullness, uneven skin tone, pigmentation and signs of ageing. Its formula combines ingredients including lactic acid, ferulic acid, tranexamic acid, peptides and exfoliating enzymes.

This lightweight night cream is particularly suitable for normal, combination and oilier skin types.

Ekseption Pure Skin Activator

Pure Skin Activator is developed for combination, oily, blemish-prone and acne-prone skin. Its formula contains salicylic acid and supports the care of uneven texture, excess sebum and congested pores.

Do not combine it with several other intensive acne products at the same time if your skin becomes dry or sensitive easily.

Ekseption Caviar Activator

Caviar Activator is a nourishing resurfacing night cream for dry, mature or dehydrated skin. It focuses on skin renewal, hydration, pigmentation and visible signs of ageing.

Its richer care makes it suitable for skin that needs additional nourishment and comfort alongside exfoliation.

How do you use an Ekseption Activator?

1. Cleanse with a gentle Ekseption cleanser.
2. Apply a suitable lotion or facial mist if required.
3. Allow the skin to dry thoroughly.
4. Apply a thin layer to the face and neck in the evening.
5. Avoid the eyelids, immediate eye contour, lips and damaged skin.
6. Always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen the following morning, preferably SPF 50.

Always follow the directions for the individual product or the advice of your skincare professional. If your skin is sensitive or new to acids, begin two or three evenings a week and gradually increase use.

Activator treatment or peel preparation

Ekseption frequently recommends Activators as a temporary intensive course of approximately three weeks. When preparing for a professional peel, your beauty therapist may recommend a different schedule based on the chosen peel and your skin’s condition.

Do not use the product for longer, more frequently or in a thicker layer without advice. Applying more will not provide faster results and may increase the likelihood of irritation.

Which products should not be used together?

It is best not to combine an Ekseption Activator in the same evening routine with:

• retinol or a retinol booster;
• Super Retinol Fluid;
• Super Salicylic Fluid;
• another exfoliating acid cream;
• a facial scrub or cleansing brush;
• a strong peel or peeling mask;
• Enzyme, Salicylic or Black Powder Cleanse & Peel if the skin is sensitive;
• several intensive acne treatments at the same time.

On other evenings, use a hydrating Mixlab serum and repairing cream if needed. Temporarily discontinue use if you experience persistent redness, burning, excessive flaking or swelling.

Activators and Mixlab serums

Depending on your skin, a mild hydrating serum may be combined with an Activator. However, keep the routine simple when introducing the product.

Would you like to use an active Mixlab serum such as Vit C, TRX, ZnPCA or Copper Peptides? Divide the products between separate routines:

• active or hydrating serum in the morning;
• Activator in the evening;
• SPF 50 every morning.

Extra precautions

Do not use an Activator on damaged or severely irritated skin. Seek professional advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding or if you have rosacea, eczema, use acne medication or receive dermatological treatments.

Do not apply immediately before or after waxing, epilating, microneedling, laser treatments or a professional peel unless specifically advised by your skincare professional.
