Mila d’Opiz Royal Black Pearl is an exclusive Swiss anti-ageing range for visible skin ageing, loss of firmness, wrinkles, uneven texture and a tired-looking complexion.

The range combines sustainably upcycled black pearl oyster extract with Royal Retin®, a Mila d’Opiz complex combining royal jelly and NovoRetin™. This is not traditional retinol but a retinol alternative that supports natural skin renewal and a more refined skin texture.

Peptides, hyaluronic acid, caring oils and other specialised ingredients complement the formulas. Together, they help the skin appear firmer, smoother, plumper and more radiant.

What is black pearl extract?

Royal Black Pearl uses upcycled pearl oyster components to create a mineral-rich cosmetic extract. Black pearl extract contains minerals including calcium, magnesium and zinc and is used to support the skin’s radiance, smoothness, elasticity and overall vitality.

Upcycling means valuable natural materials that might otherwise remain unused are repurposed as functional skincare ingredients.

What is Royal Retin®?

Royal Retin® is a patented Mila d’Opiz complex combining royal jelly with NovoRetin™, a retinol alternative derived from mastic resin.

It supports the skin’s natural renewal process, firmness and refined texture. Royal Retin® does not contain traditional retinol and is designed to provide retinol-like skincare benefits with comfortable daily use.

Because Royal Retin® contains royal jelly, the Royal Black Pearl range is not vegan.

Its fast-absorbing texture helps the skin appear smoother, plumper and better structured. Apply every morning and evening underneath Majesty Cream.

Royal Black Pearl Majesty Cream

A luxurious facial moisturiser for the daily care of mature, dry or less firm skin. Its formula includes black pearl extract, Royal Retin®, SYN®-AKE, hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, shea butter and caring botanical oils.

The cream supports skin density, elasticity and softness. Expression lines, wrinkles and uneven texture may consequently appear less noticeable.

Royal Black Pearl Imperial Eye Cream

An intensive eye cream for lines, wrinkles, puffiness, dark circles and a tired-looking eye contour. It hydrates the delicate skin around the eyes and supports a smoother, fresher and firmer-looking appearance.

Apply only a small amount along the orbital bone. Avoid the moving eyelids and lash line.

Royal Black Pearl Luxury Miniatures

A luxurious discovery or travel set containing miniature versions of Divine Serum, Majesty Cream and Imperial Eye Cream. The miniatures contain the same original formulas as the full-sized products.

According to Mila d’Opiz, the products are suitable for all skin types. On very oily skin, Majesty Cream may be applied selectively or used primarily as an evening moisturiser.

Morning routine

1. Cleanse with a gentle Mila d’Opiz facial cleanser.

2. Apply Microbiome Daily Balancing Tonic if desired.

3. Distribute a small amount of Divine Serum over the face, neck and décolleté.

4. Gently pat Imperial Eye Cream along the orbital bone.

5. Apply Majesty Cream.

6. Finish with a separate broad-spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30.

Evening routine

1. Remove makeup and sunscreen.

2. Cleanse the face, neck and décolleté thoroughly.

3. Apply a caring toner if desired.

4. Use Divine Serum.

5. Apply Imperial Eye Cream.

6. Finish with Majesty Cream.

How to layer the products

Apply the products from the lightest to the richest texture:

A small amount is sufficient. Massage the serum and cream into the skin using gentle upward movements. Do not pull or rub the delicate eye contour.

Which combinations require additional care?

Royal Retin® is not traditional retinol. Nevertheless, intensive anti-ageing care should be introduced gradually on sensitive skin.

• Introduce the products one at a time.
• Avoid immediately combining several intensive anti-ageing products on reactive skin.
• Use strong acids, peels or traditional retinol on alternate evenings if irritation develops.
• Do not apply Divine Serum or Majesty Cream directly to the moving eyelids.
• Use Imperial Eye Cream around the eyes.
• Reduce active products if redness, itching, flaking or burning develops.
• Apply a separate sunscreen every morning.

Is Royal Black Pearl vegan?

No. Royal Retin® contains royal jelly, so the range is not suitable for customers who want to use exclusively vegan skincare.

Mila d’Opiz Vegan Green Caviar can be selected as a vegan alternative.
