Ekseption Skincare for Acne, Blemishes and Enlarged Pores
Ekseption Skincare for acne and enlarged pores
Spots, blackheads, a shiny T-zone and enlarged pores are often caused by a combination of excess sebum, clogged pores, accumulated dead skin cells and an unbalanced skin barrier. Overly aggressive cleansing can also dehydrate and disrupt the skin, potentially increasing redness and blemishes.
Ekseption approaches blemish-prone skin with products that support its naturally mildly acidic surface pH. Ingredients such as salicylic acid, PHA and zinc PCA help address excess oil, accumulated skin cells and the visible appearance of enlarged pores.
Pores cannot be permanently opened, closed or removed. However, suitable cleansing, exfoliation, hydration and sun protection can help prevent congestion, making pores appear finer and less noticeable.
Which Ekseption products suit acne and enlarged pores?
Salicylic Foam Cleanse & Peel
A foaming exfoliating cleanser containing salicylic acid for oily and blemish-prone skin. It helps cleanse the skin and remove accumulated oil and skin cells. Introduce it gradually if the skin is sensitive or dehydrated.
Salicylic Powder Cleanse & Peel
A cleansing powder containing salicylic acid for more intensive cleansing of oily or congested skin. Do not automatically use it every day or combine it with several strong exfoliants in the same routine.
Black Powder Cleanse & Peel
A cleansing and exfoliating powder with activated charcoal particles. Suitable when the skin needs a thorough cleanse, but it should be used in moderation to avoid over-exfoliation.
Matcha Tea Mist
A hydrating toner for oily skin. It refreshes the skin after cleansing and prepares it for the application of a serum or moisturiser.
Hyaluronic ZnPCA Mixlab Serum
A hydrating zinc PCA serum for oily and blemish-prone skin. It supports balanced sebum production while providing lightweight care without leaving a heavy or greasy layer.
Hyaluronic PHA Mixlab Serum
A hydrating PHA serum for skin with visible pores and uneven texture. PHA generally provides gentler exfoliation than stronger acids and helps refine the appearance of the skin.
Pure Skin Activator
A micro-exfoliating night cream for combination, oily and blemish-prone skin. It helps improve skin texture and the appearance of congested or enlarged pores.
Super Salicylic Fluid
A targeted salicylic acid serum for oily and blemish-prone skin. Suitable for congested pores, blackheads and recurring blemishes. Increase the frequency of use gradually.
Glaciar Repair
A lightweight restorative cream for oily and combination skin. Suitable when exfoliation or active ingredients have left the skin feeling temporarily dry, tight or sensitive.
A simple routine for blemish-prone skin
Morning:
- Cleanse with a gentle cleanser.
- Apply Matcha Tea Mist.
- Use Hyaluronic ZnPCA Mixlab Serum.
- Apply a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturiser if required.
- Always finish with broad-spectrum sun protection, preferably SPF 50.
Evening without exfoliation:
- Remove make-up and sunscreen.
- Cleanse the skin gently.
- Apply Hyaluronic ZnPCA or a soothing, hydrating serum.
- Use a lightweight moisturiser or Glaciar Repair when the skin needs recovery.
Active evening, initially two or three times a week:
- Cleanse the skin gently.
- Select one active product: Pure Skin Activator, Super Salicylic Fluid or Hyaluronic PHA Mixlab Serum.
- Follow with a lightweight, soothing moisturiser if required.
- Only increase the frequency when the skin remains comfortable and does not become red, flaky or sensitive.
Which products combine well?
• A gentle cleanser with Hyaluronic ZnPCA Mixlab Serum.
• Matcha Tea Mist with Hyaluronic ZnPCA.
• Hyaluronic ZnPCA with a lightweight, non-comedogenic moisturiser.
• An active product alternated with Glaciar Repair on recovery evenings.
• Post-Peel Glaciar Mask when the skin needs additional hydration and comfort.
• Daily SPF 50 when using acids, activators, peels or retinol.
Which combinations should be avoided?
Do not use several strong exfoliating products in the same routine. Without professional guidance, avoid combining:
• Salicylic Powder Cleanse & Peel with Super Salicylic Fluid.
• Super Salicylic Fluid with Pure Skin Activator.
• Pure Skin Activator with Super Retinol Fluid.
• Super Salicylic Fluid with Triple Acid Peeling Mask.
• An intensive peel with an activator, retinol or salicylic acid serum on the same evening.
• Several exfoliating cleansers directly after one another.
Using too many active products can disrupt the skin barrier. Warning signs include redness, burning, flaking, dryness and a sudden increase in blemishes. If this occurs, pause exfoliating products and temporarily focus on gentle cleansing, hydration and barrier-supporting care.
Important skincare tips
• Cleanse no more than twice a day.
• Avoid harsh scrubbing and do not squeeze spots.
• Choose lightweight, non-comedogenic skincare.
• Hydrate oily skin as well as dry skin.
• Introduce one new active product at a time.
• Apply sunscreen every day.
• Do not expect immediate results; a skincare routine requires time and consistent use.
Cosmetic skincare can help reduce blemishes and the visible appearance of enlarged pores but does not replace medical treatment. Consult a doctor or dermatologist if acne is severe, painful, inflamed or causing scars.
