Depending on the product and your skin’s condition, a face mask can be added to your routine once or several times a week. Always select a mask suited to your skin and consider other active products such as retinol, acids and Ekseption Activators.

Which Ekseption mask suits your skin?

Ekseption Post-Peel Glacier Mask

Post-Peel Glacier Mask is a cooling and soothing mask for sensitive, red, warm or dehydrated skin. It is particularly suitable when the skin needs additional comfort and hydration after an intensive treatment or exfoliation.

Around a professional peel, use only the aftercare recommended by your skincare professional.

Ekseption Caviar Liquid Mask

Caviar Liquid Mask is a liquid skincare mask in spray form. It is not a traditional cream mask applied in a thick layer.

The fine mist helps hydrate dry, dehydrated or mature skin and supports a more comfortable feel. It is suitable as additional care whenever the skin needs extra nourishment, softness and radiance.

Ekseption Triple Acid Peeling Mask

Triple Acid Peeling Mask is an intensive exfoliating mask containing three organic acids. It helps remove accumulated dead skin cells and supports smoother-looking texture and a fresher complexion.

This mask is suitable for dull, rough or uneven skin but is not intended for daily use. Introduce it gradually and always follow the product directions.

Ekseption Ultim-Eyes Mask

Ultim-Eyes Mask is specially developed for the delicate skin around the eyes. It helps hydrate the eye contour and supports a fresher appearance when affected by puffiness, dark circles and signs of tiredness.

Do not allow the product to enter the eyes or apply it directly along the lash line.

How do you use an Ekseption mask?

1. Cleanse with a suitable Ekseption cleanser.
2. Apply a lotion or facial mist if required.
3. Apply the mask evenly according to its directions.
4. Avoid the immediate eye contour when using a face mask.
5. Leave the product on for the specified time.
6. Remove the mask when required by the instructions.
7. Follow with a suitable serum and moisturising cream.
8. Always wear sun protection during the day.

Caviar Liquid Mask is applied as a spray. Triple Acid Peeling Mask requires a different method and frequency from a hydrating or repairing mask.

How often should you use a mask?

The appropriate frequency depends on the type of mask and your skin:

• hydrating or soothing mask: one to three times a week;
• eye mask: according to the directions and individual need;
• liquid skincare mask: according to its specific instructions;
• Triple Acid Peeling Mask: less frequently and only as directed.

Using a mask more often does not automatically provide better results. Reduce the frequency if you experience dryness, redness, burning or flaking.

Which products should not be combined?

It is best not to combine Triple Acid Peeling Mask in the same evening routine with:

• an Ekseption Activator;
• retinol or Super Retinol Fluid;
• Super Salicylic Fluid;
• a facial scrub or cleansing brush;
• Enzyme, Salicylic or Black Powder Cleanse & Peel;
• another strong peel;
• several intensive acne treatments.

After an exfoliating mask, choose soothing and hydrating products such as a gentle Mixlab serum and repairing cream. Apply SPF 50 the following morning.

Hydrating and repairing masks can generally be combined with a mild hyaluronic acid, B5 or ectoin serum.

Masks around a professional peel

Before and after a professional peel, the skin needs a carefully selected routine. During this period, only use masks recommended by your beauty therapist.

A repairing or cooling mask may be suitable following a treatment, while Triple Acid Peeling Mask should be temporarily avoided. Do not independently apply additional acids to skin that is still recovering.

Multimasking

For combination skin, different masks can be used on separate areas of the face. For example, apply a soothing or hydrating mask to dry cheeks and a suitable purifying product to the oilier T-zone.

Do not use Triple Acid Peeling Mask on damaged, inflamed or severely sensitive skin.
