Ekseption Ceramides Mask is an intensively hydrating and nourishing overnight mask for dry, sensitive and mature skin. Its formula with plant-derived rice ceramides and ectoin helps reinforce the protective skin barrier, limit moisture loss and relieve a tight or uncomfortable feeling.

Ceramides are important lipids naturally present between skin cells. They help hold the upper skin layer together and support protection against dehydration and environmental stressors. When ceramide levels decline, the skin may feel dry, rough, sensitive or less resilient.

Ectoin helps retain water around skin cells and supports the complexion during exposure to pollution, temperature changes and other environmental influences. Together, ceramides and ectoin promote softer, more supple and hydrated-looking skin.

The rich yet lightweight water-in-oil formula uses gel-trap technology. Oils and waxes form a protective layer that helps reduce overnight moisture loss without necessarily feeling heavy.

KEY INGREDIENTS

Plant-derived rice ceramides 0.3%

The ceramides are obtained from an optimised rice bran extract containing sphingolipids and phospholipids. These lipids resemble components of the natural cement between skin cells.

They help support cohesion in the stratum corneum, limit moisture loss and condition the protective barrier.

Ectoin 0.2%

A protective molecule produced by microorganisms living in extreme environments. Ectoin helps retain water and supports the skin during exposure to pollution, dryness and temperature changes.

It can improve sensitive-skin comfort but does not replace sunscreen.

Glycerine and butylene glycol

Humectants that attract and retain water, supporting a softer and smoother appearance.

Conditioning oils and waxes

The water-in-oil formula forms a protective layer that helps limit overnight moisture loss.

The formula contains fragrance, hexyl cinnamal, linalool and benzyl salicylate. Patch test before use in cases of fragrance allergy or highly reactive skin.

DIRECTIONS

Use at night two or three times per week or as often as needed.

1. Cleanse the face and neck thoroughly.

2. Apply a gentle toner or hydrating mist if desired.

3. Distribute the mask evenly over the face and neck.

4. Avoid the eyelids, lash line and lips.

5. Massage gently using circular movements.

6. Leave on overnight.

7. Rinse with lukewarm water in the morning.

8. Follow with normal daytime skincare and sunscreen.

Apply a thin, even layer. Using more product will not automatically provide better results.

MORNING ROUTINE

1. Rinse the mask away gently.

2. Cleanse if required.

3. Apply a hydrating serum.

4. Use a suitable Ekseption moisturiser.

5. Finish with All-Day Shield SPF 50.

EVENING ROUTINE WITH CERAMIDES MASK

1. Gentle facial cleanser.

2. Monsoon Mist or a gentle toner.

3. Hyaluronic Ectoin Mixlab Serum or another hydrating serum.

4. Ceramides Mask as the final step.

5. Leave on overnight.

USE WITH RETINOL OR EXFOLIATING PRODUCTS

Ceramides Mask is suitable as nourishing care on recovery evenings between applications of Retin-Oil Booster, Super Retinol Fluid or a resurfacing activator.

On sensitive skin, do not automatically apply the mask over an intensive retinol or acid treatment. An occlusive layer may increase the absorption and intensity of active ingredients.

An example schedule is:

• Monday: retinol or activator.
• Tuesday: Ceramides Mask recovery evening.
• Wednesday: gentle hydrating routine.
• Thursday: retinol or activator when the skin remains calm.
• Weekend: Ceramides Mask.

Pause retinol and acids if the skin becomes very red, painful, burning or flaky.

CERAMIDES MASK OR GLACIER MASK?

Choose Ceramides Mask for dryness, lipid deficiency, a weakened skin barrier and rich, long-lasting overnight care.

Choose Glacier Mask when the skin needs cooling, refreshing comfort and lighter hydration.

Very dry but visibly red skin can alternate both masks on different evenings.

USE AFTER COSMETIC PROCEDURES

Ceramides and ectoin can support a recovery home routine once the skin is sufficiently closed and calm. However, Ceramides Mask is not sterile and contains fragrance and fragrance allergens.

Do not automatically apply it immediately after microneedling, nanoneedling, laser, IPL, dermabrasion or an intensive peel. Follow the practitioner’s aftercare instructions.

Do not infuse this product with a nanopen or dermaroller and never inject it.

• Patch test in cases of fragrance allergy.
• Discontinue following itching, swelling, burning or persistent redness.
• Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

EXPECTED RESULTS

After one night, the skin may feel softer, more supple and comfortable. Fine dehydration lines may temporarily appear less noticeable and the complexion may look fresher and more even.

With regular use, the mask supports a better-hydrated and more resilient skin barrier. It cannot treat a medical skin condition or severely damaged skin.
