PCA Skin Eye Care for Lines, Puffiness and Dark Circles
The skin around the eyes is thinner and more delicate than the skin on the rest of the face. As a result, dehydration, dryness lines, wrinkles, puffiness and dark circles often become visible around the eyes first.
PCA Skin eye care is developed to hydrate, care for and protect this delicate area. Depending on your needs, you can choose a lightweight eye gel or a richer eye cream.
Why use specialised eye care?
A regular facial moisturiser is not always formulated for the delicate skin around the eyes. A dedicated eye product usually has an adapted texture and may help care for:
- dryness and tightness;
- fine lines and wrinkles;
- puffiness and signs of tiredness;
- dark circles;
- loss of firmness;
- a dull or tired-looking eye contour.
Eye gel or eye cream?
PCA Skin eye gel
An eye gel has a lightweight, refreshing texture. It is suitable when puffiness and a tired appearance are your main concerns or when you prefer lightweight skincare.
An eye gel fits well into a morning routine and can feel comfortable underneath concealer or make-up.
PCA Skin eye cream
An eye cream generally has a richer texture and is suitable for dryness, dehydration lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness. A richer eye cream can be used in the morning and evening.
PCA Skin Ideal Complex eye care targets multiple signs of ageing around the eyes, including fine lines, a tired appearance and loss of firmness.
How do you apply PCA Skin eye care?
- Cleanse with a gentle PCA Skin cleanser.
- Apply a toner and facial serum if required.
- Use a small amount of eye product, approximately the size of one grain of rice per eye.
- Distribute it carefully along the bone surrounding the eye.
- Gently pat it into the skin with your ring finger.
- Avoid rubbing and do not apply the product too close to the eye.
- Follow with facial moisturiser and sunscreen during the day.
Using more product will not provide a better result. Applying too much may cause the product to enter the eyes or interfere with make-up.
Eye care for fine lines and wrinkles
For fine lines and signs of ageing, choose an eye product with hydrating, antioxidant and firming ingredients. Well-hydrated skin often appears smoother and plumper.
Combine eye care with daily sun protection. Wear sunglasses in bright sunlight to help reduce frequent squinting.
Eye care for puffiness
Puffiness can have different causes, including fluid retention, tiredness, genetics and skin ageing. A refreshing eye gel and gentle patting may help the eye contour feel fresher.
You can store an eye gel in a cool place for an additional refreshing effect. Do not apply high pressure or aggressively massage a swollen eye area.
Eye care for dark circles
Dark circles may be caused by pigmentation, thin skin, visible blood vessels, volume loss or genetics. Eye care can hydrate the skin and help the eye contour appear fresher and more even, but it cannot completely correct every underlying cause.
Tinted eye care or concealer can temporarily disguise the appearance of dark circles.
Which products should not be used around the eyes?
Only use products specifically intended for the eye contour. Be careful with:
- strong acid peels;
- facial scrubs;
- exfoliating toners;
- Acne Gel;
- highly concentrated facial retinol products;
- heavily fragranced or irritating products.
Do not apply these products to the eyelids or directly along the lash line. Discontinue use if you experience persistent irritation, swelling, redness or burning.
