Peels for Smooth and Radiant Skin
PCA Skin is known for professional peels and targeted exfoliating skincare. Exfoliation helps remove accumulated dead skin cells and supports a smoother, softer and fresher-looking complexion.
A carefully selected exfoliant may benefit dull skin, enlarged or congested pores, blemishes, pigmentation, fine lines and uneven texture. Always adjust the chosen product and frequency of use to your skin type and the other active ingredients in your routine.
What does a PCA Skin peel or exfoliant do?
Carefully introduced exfoliation can help:
- remove accumulated dead skin cells;
- refine rough or uneven texture;
- care for congested and visible pores;
- create a fresher, more even appearance;
- reduce the appearance of dullness;
- prepare the skin for serum and moisturiser.
More frequent exfoliation does not automatically produce better results. Excessive use can cause dryness, redness, flaking and sensitivity.
PCA Skin Daily Exfoliant
PCA Skin Daily Exfoliant provides gentle mechanical exfoliation with biodegradable cellulose acetate particles. Its formula also contains caring ingredients such as glasswort extract, green tea extract and aloe vera.
It helps remove dead skin cells and superficial impurities, leaving the skin feeling smoother and softer. Despite its name, Daily Exfoliant does not need to be used every day by every skin type. Adjust the frequency to your skin and the other active ingredients in your routine.
How do you use a PCA Skin exfoliant?
- Cleanse with a suitable PCA Skin cleanser.
- Apply a small amount to damp skin.
- Massage gently using circular movements.
- Avoid the immediate eye contour and damaged skin.
- Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.
- Follow with a hydrating or soothing serum.
- Apply a suitable PCA Skin moisturiser.
- Always wear broad-spectrum sunscreen during the day.
Begin once a week if you have sensitive skin. Increase the frequency only if your skin tolerates the product well.
Professional PCA Skin peels
Professional PCA Skin chemical peels are stronger than exfoliating products intended for home use. They are selected according to the skin type and desired result and should only be applied by a suitably trained skincare professional.
Use only the recommended preparation and aftercare products around a professional peel. Avoid additional scrubs, retinol and strong acids while the skin is preparing for or recovering from treatment.
Which products should not be used together?
It is best not to combine a PCA Skin peel or exfoliant in the same routine with:
- retinol;
- another scrub or exfoliant;
- a strong acid peel;
- an exfoliating toner;
- several salicylic acid products;
- Acne Gel and other drying products if the skin is sensitive.
Alternate active products on different evenings. Include recovery days with a hydrating serum and soothing or repairing moisturiser.
Do not exfoliate immediately before or after waxing, shaving, epilating, microneedling, laser treatments or a professional peel unless advised otherwise by your skincare professional.
Sun protection after exfoliation
The skin may become more sensitive to sunlight after exfoliation. Apply at least SPF 30 every morning. For pigmentation, intensive exfoliation or increased sun exposure, we preferably recommend SPF 50.
