For Clear Skin & Clean Pores
Regular deep cleansing helps remove accumulated dead skin cells, excess sebum and impurities from the pores. This leaves the skin feeling smoother and softer while promoting a fresher, clearer and more refined-looking complexion.
This category features professional products for cleansing the skin surface and pores from Ekseption Skincare, Fusion Meso, Mila d’Opiz, Sea Magik, PCA Skin and MATIS Paris. Choose from facial peels, scrubs, enzymatic exfoliants, cleansing powders, clay masks, mud masks and purifying facial masks.
Deep-cleansing skincare can help address:
- Congested or enlarged-looking pores
- Blackheads and blemishes
- Excess sebum production
- Oily or shiny skin
- Accumulated dead skin cells
- Rough or uneven skin texture
- A dull, tired-looking complexion
- Preparation for serums and moisturisers
Removing dead cells from the skin’s surface allows subsequent skincare to be applied more evenly. However, cosmetic deep cleansing does not literally penetrate the deeper layers of the skin. It primarily works on the epidermis and pore openings.
Which deep cleanser suits your skin?
Oily and blemish-prone skin
Choose a purifying clay or mud mask, a salicylic acid product or an exfoliating cleanser to help remove excess oil and keep pores clear.
Combination skin
Apply purifying products mainly to the T-zone. A gentler peel or hydrating mask may be more appropriate for drier facial areas.
Dry or dehydrated skin
Choose a gentle enzyme exfoliant or hydrating PHA peel. Avoid aggressive scrubbing and highly oil-absorbing masks.
Sensitive skin
Use a mild exfoliant without coarse particles. Introduce it gradually and choose products specifically suited to sensitive skin.
Dull, thickened or mature skin
Enzyme, AHA or PHA exfoliants can support skin renewal and promote a smoother, fresher and more radiant appearance.
Types of deep cleansing
- AHA peels: suitable for dullness, pigmentation and rough texture.
- Salicylic acid/BHA: particularly suitable for oily, congested and blemish-prone skin.
- PHA peels: provide gentle exfoliation with hydrating properties.
- Enzyme exfoliants: loosen dead cells without mechanical scrubbing.
- Facial scrubs: use fine particles to remove surface dead skin cells.
- Clay and mud masks: absorb excess sebum and superficial impurities.
Directions for use
Cleanse the face with a suitable facial cleanser. Apply the selected peel, scrub or mask according to its individual directions. Avoid the eye contour and do not exceed the recommended application time.
Use a deep-cleansing product approximately once or twice a week. Stronger acid products may require a different schedule. Introduce them gradually and avoid combining several intensive exfoliants in the same routine.
Follow with a hydrating or soothing serum and an appropriate moisturiser. Always apply sunscreen during the day, particularly after using an AHA, BHA or PHA exfoliant.
Take care when combining
Avoid combining an intensive peel in the same evening routine with:
- Retinol or other strong vitamin A products
- Multiple glycolic- or salicylic-acid products
- Highly acidic vitamin C formulas
- Mechanical facial scrubs
- Other resurfacing or peeling products
Do not use exfoliating acids or scrubs on damaged, sunburned or severely irritated skin. After a professional peel, Nanopen, microneedling, laser or IPL treatment, wait until the skin has fully recovered.
